HFX Wanderers FC is launching its U18 Development Team in Fall 2025, marking a key step in the club's local player pathway to its Canadian Premier League first team. The team will hold open trials in Halifax in September, featuring high-performance training sessions led by the Wanderers' first-team coaching staff. Players from the open trials will be invited to additional sessions in October, with top performers selected to join the U18 Development Team starting in November 2025. The U18 squad will train regularly in the Wanderers professional club environment and attend a series of showcases outside the region between December and March. The Wanderers U18 Development team intends to compete in the Nova Scotia Premier Men’s Division beginning in 2026. And with this new team, HFX Wanderers FC is providing young players with a clear pathway to professional soccer. But the club is also warning players to be cautious of fake emails and messages, as all official communications will come from addresses ending in @hfxwanderersfc.ca. So players should be sure to check the email address before responding to any messages. The club will never ask for money on Zelle, PayPal, Cash App, or other payment platforms, and all registration fees will be hosted via the club’s website and Universe platform.
