HFX Wanderers FC of the Canadian Premier League has finalized their wardrobe for the 2026 season, including a real sweet taste of the East Coast summer. The Halifax, Nova Scotia-based club unveiled their new primary, goalkeeper and alternate jerseys, made by Hummel, over three consecutive days this week as they count down to their regular season opener on Saturday, April 4, against Vancouver FC. The unveilings were headlined by the primary kit, which marks a departure from previous home kits with its black base. The jersey pays tribute to the Wanderers Amateur Athletic Club and the Wanderers Grounds in downtown Halifax, which serve as the CanPL’s club’s home today. The WAAC was founded in 1892 and inspired the current club’s name. The kit has the WAAC shield — featuring the saltire and rampant lion from the Nova Scotia flag —embossed in a repeated pattern all over. The polo collar, sleeve cuffs and sponsor logos are all aqua. A vintage aqua Wanderers wordmark sits on the back collar, while aqua retro Ws appear on the front of the black socks. This jersey represents the continuation of a 144-year-old promise to make the community stronger through the power of sport. A celebration of those who built a field of dreams, the community that rallies around it, and the passing of the torch to the Halifax Wanderers of today. Next up was the new goalkeeper kit, which was inspired by a favourite local ice cream flavour. The gradient of yellow, blue and purple across the entire kit is meant to evoke Moon Mist ice cream, a mixture of banana, grape and bubblegum that was invented in Nova Scotia sometime in the 1960s. The look is anchored by a solid black crew neck collar, sleeve cuffs and sponsor logos. Last but not least was the aqua and navy blue alternate kit, which first popped up briefly in a league-wide promotional video last month. But there are details on the kit that couldn’t be seen in the video, the most prominent of which is an embossed pattern of citadels all over the shirt. The Wanderers visit Vancouver FC on April 4 to open their 2026 CanPL regular season. Their home opener at the Wanderers Grounds comes a week later when they host Inter Toronto (formerly York United).
